Boys and girls can learn fun and exciting self defense in a safe family environment while also learning to effectively counteract the influence of bullies and troublemakers at school.
(Encinitas, CA, USA) – June. 6, 2012 – The Encinitas school of Gracie Barra jiu-jitsu is now accepting students for its new Free Community Anti Bullying program. The professionally created and administered martial arts training curriculum for boys and girls was especially designed with school children in mind.
The classes will take place at Gracie Barra Encinitas Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 9:45 am (kids between 4 – 8 yrs old) and 9:45 – 10:45 am ( kids 9 to 14 yrs old). On June 02nd, 09th 16th and 23rd. The kids will learn not only the most common self defense movements against bullies but most importantly they will learn how to react and what is the best attitude the must have when facing a situation like that.
Kids get excited about taking Gracie Barra classes because jiu-jitsu is great fun and a wonderful opportunity to learn self defense. But their parents also recognize and appreciate the broader scope of benefits. Those include the fact that students get a regular dose of safe exercise while learning the valuable ethical principles and practical life lessons that define the Gracie Barra philosophy and lifestyle.
As an added benefit, for example, kids enrolled in the program are taught practical and easily implemented tools and strategies to help them counteract the troublesome phenomenon of bullying in school. Gracie Barra kids are much less likely to be bullied because they learn both verbal and non-verbal skills for deescalating and safely ending situations that might otherwise lead to violence. Of course they are also taught to safely and effectively defend themselves.
Gracie Barra jiu-jitsu is one of the most respected systems of martial arts because it was designed to be highly effective against much stronger and bigger opponents.
